Trail Ride!

The kids all got to take a trail ride. The picture of all the kids with their helmets on is priceless. Our resident teenager did not want to be photoed in that huge helmet, but I was having a good chuckle about it. Love ya girl!

Weekend at CAMP GRADY!

This weekend our family went to Camp Grady. It is located two hours from our house on Possum Kingdom Lake. We rented a cabin right on the water. The camp provided many activities to do as a family. It was a wonderful weekend! (Our cabin is the one in the picture.)

Showers for EVERYONE!!!!!

We have just survived a week of no (well, almost no) running water. It all started when I heard the sound of running water in the wall when it seemed there was nothing turned on. The sound made me feel very nervous. We turned off everything in the house and went to look at the water gage. Sure enough, it was still moving. This told us that there was a leak. The leak was located under the foundation. This did not sound good. It sounded very expensive and scary. The whole process took about a week to fix. They jackhammered a hole in my side of the bathroom floor. I prayed quite a bit about this. That they would be able to fix it and that they would do it quickly and that it might not be too expensive. This all happened the week before my parents were coming. I didn't bother to tell them that we had no running water because I didn't want them to worry about it. =) (They might all of the sudden have a detour straight to Phoenix!) I had faith that it would all be over by the time they arrived. =) Well, the plumbers did a great job. The leak was fix two hours before my parents arrived! We all worked together to get the housed cleaned up, do the dishes, get laundry done and everyone showered up. You never really appreciate something until it is gone. It feels good to have running water again! I feel blessed that it all turned out so well.

Returned Missionaries!

Grammy and Papa Price finished their mission in Missouri. They served for 18 months and did a wonderful job. On their way back home to Arizona, they stopped and stayed with us here in Texas for five days. They brought gifts that they had made for us. Papa made me a beautiful rolling pin and for Taggart, he made some really cool book ends. Grammy made me a table topper that fits my table perfectly. They brought the kids candy from the Amish store and Papa made pioneer toys for everyone. I think they are called whirligigs. We had lots of fun with those! Welcome home! Well done!!!

Pre game meeting.

Friday night the football players put on a special meeting or fireside as we call them. It was a spiritual meeting. All of the team was there. We were able to get 4 tickets to it and brought Boston and his football buddy Ryan. It was held at the Carrolton stake center. They gave talks about being a disciple of Christ, they sang songs and bore testimony of Jesus Christ. It was so neat. The coach also spoke along with his wife. After the meeting Boston and Ryan were able to meet Max Hall, the quarter back and other players. It was really cool for these little boys. Here they are with two of the players and Daddy is sporting his beloved BYU tie (which he will wear today to church!) What a great weekend!

Oklahoma 2009 season-1 lose, 0 wins!

The ward had a great time together at the game. The fans stayed around for so long, we just didn't want to leave, it was fun. After the game the players came out and we got to meet them and congratulate them. Good times!

BYU WINS it!

MAX HALL on the jumbo tron.

True blue.

Good times with the Robbins!

Daddy bought 100 tickets to the game for the Flower Mound 2nd ward. We all sat together and had a total party. These are his signs that he made and us in our seats with a great view of the Field.

Rise and Shout!

BYU football was great this weekend and we were privileged to be there to enjoy it. They played Oklahoma University at the new Cowboys Stadium. The stadium was amazing, but the final score was even more so! 13 to 14 BYU wins!!!!

Shadow Ridge Panthers!

Quincey wanted to try out for the volleyball team last year in 7th grade. We thought that was great. She went into the tryouts with out any experience actually playing volleyball. We were thrilled when she made it onto the "C" team. (Which is the, let's say "least good", team.) I was happy that she would be able to get some experience, because I knew she would be a good player. This year, one year later, she tried out for the 8th grade team and made the "A" team! Needless to say, that is the BEST team! We are so proud of her. The reason that she has gotten so good at volleyball is because she has been motivated to take camps, join a league and to practice a lot at home all on her own. I am so impressed with her. Good job Quincey! These pictures are of their first game against Griffin Middle School. Quincey's team won two out of two matches and did great. GO PANTHERS!

***SARGER TURNS 4?***

What? Could it REALLY be? Sarger Barron is 4 years old! Yes! It is true. My baby boy turned four and we had a cowboy birthday party for him. The kids all got to ride Colonel around the yard. Colonel was perfect and very gentile with them. Daddy gave all of the kids rides on the Bonzi, The Zip Line and the Horsey Swing. During the party, Sarger was stung by a wasp, which was sad. He cried his eyes out, but a quick ride on the horsey swing cheered him up quickly. Minutes later he was saying that, "It really didn't hurt that bad anyway." and was all smiles again. I love this little boy. If I had to say one word about Sarger, I would choose "HAPPY". I couldn't ask for more in a son. I love you sweetheart.

Mommy's Entry

The girls and I entered an art contest recently. This was the painting that I entered. It is named, "Daddy's Discovery". I love how it turned out. It represents my husband in a nutshell. He is very free with his time to teach, play with, and discover with the kids. They are so lucky to have him as their Father. He makes sure to have a close relationship with each of them. I love that about him.

Quincey's Entry

Quincey worked on this painting over the summer. She did a great job. This is the painting that she entered in Accenture's Art contest. She named it, "What a Filly!" Good job Honey. You are so talented! I love how it turned out. I love the name too.

Piper Takes The Cake!

This is the painting that Piper entered. She named it, "The Beauty of Texas Bluebonnets." Well, to the families enjoyment, the girl got "BEST IN SHOW"!!!!!!! She beat out all of the adults entries (including mine! =D) We are all so happy for her and proud of her. It was a great Barron Family Moment. Yay Piper!
