Proud to be an American!

Our Cub Scout Pack welcomed home the soldiers at DFW airport on Saturday morning and what a wonderful experience it was!  I was to touched to see the families greet their loved ones.  I was so grateful for the service these men and women have given to our country.  It was a neat morning.

This was fun.

While eating breakfast Sunday morning Boston asked me a strange question.  Very much out of the blue he asked me, " Mommy, can I wear my big shoes to church today?"  By big shoes, he meant the size 18 shoes that I gave him for Christmas for a joke.  At first I said, no, but I thought about it and figured, HEY!  If you have the guts to wear them in public, go for it! ( I thought it would be fun to witness.)  So I said, YES!  After he showered and came down with his tie on and sporting the humungous shoes, I said, "Honey, I don't know.....", he quickly said, "Mommy!  You said I could!" So that was that.  He wore them to church and pretty much had a lot of explaining to do to everyone that he saw.  It was so FUNNY!!!!  I loved it Babe, thanks for giving me a good laugh.

My Cute Son Boston

This week during Boston's football game he made an amazing play!  He caught a long pass and ran the ball 20 yards.  He was tackled by three guys and then reached the ball over the line for a touchdown!  It was so great.  His games are a blast to watch.  It's extra fun because he plays offense, defense and kicker, so he never leaves the field.  Tons of action for this Mom! GO BUCKS! GO BUCKS!

Three Days Together

This cliff was a total drop off to your death. I felt very uncomfortable being up there with my kids.  The whole family was up there and Daddy insisted that I join them.  When I got up there it was SO scary.  Can you see how we are clinging to each other.  I was glad when we all got down.

Petit Jean State Park

Our campground.  I reserved it 6 months ago to get a sweet spot.  It was so pretty and private.
