Sun Flower Seed Kernels

Today at the store I bought the shelled sunflower seeds. I wanted them to put on my salads. Piper saw them and said, "Oh! I love those, can I have some?" So I gave her a little bowl of them. She sat enjoying them and then said, "I just LOVE these so much!" I couldn't resist and said, "Well, why don't you marry them?" Then she looked at me with a strange look and then said, "There are SOOO many! How will I name them? And ... And they aren't Mormon!" I'm glad that Piper wouldn't sell herself short for a bunch of non Mormon sunflower seed kernels. I was cracking up! =D

We Got TWINS!!!

While we were in Florida, our goat Abigail had twins! This was so exciting for the family! One boy and one girl. The kids named the girl "Moonstar" and the boy "Eclipse". They are so sweet and fun to watch. They run around and play and they sleep cuddled together. We love them.

Bottling Salsa

I spent the day bottling salsa. It turned out so delicious! Briggs loves to eat chips and salsa, so whenever I get the chance to bottle a batch I do it. It makes me feel so special to bottle something. Like I've done something amazing.

FEAR FACTOR BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!

Boston turned 9 years old. He wanted a fear factor birthday party! I'm tellin you, it was so much fun! These are the challenges that we had: Go down the zip line blindfolded and BACKWARDS! Do a flip on the trampoline! Run through the haunted woods! Survive a trip on the BONZAI! Touch all of the animals. (This was quite the shock to the animals. A crowd of nine year old boys running after them.) Then, the toughest challenge, an EATING challenge. I had canned mushrooms, clams, sardines and green olives. Only four of the boys completed the eating challenge. I loved watching Boston, he was ready for anything. He had no problem eating the food. Most boys took one look and wouldn't come near it. Boston loves a challenge. It's a cool characteristic.

Some More Favorites

It was a much needed, wonderful vacation. We feel so very blessed to be able to take our family on this trip. The Lord has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams. I owe every good thing that happens me and my family to my Heavenly Father. Thank you.

Theatre Of The Sea

Theatre Of The Sea

The Theatre Of The Sea

We went to an sea animal park on the Keys called "The Theatre of the Sea". They had lots of fish, sea turtles, exotic birds, sharks, a dolphin show, a sea lion show and a bottomless boat. The boat had a big hole in the middle of it. At one point on the ride a dolphin jumped up in the middle of the hole! It was exciting and surprising! The kids all got a turn kissing a dolphin and a sea lion! (Sarger decided just to watch.)

Our Dolphin LEO!

Briggs got to make friends with a dolphin named LEO. Dolphins are such sweet animals. They are the puppy dogs of the sea. They love to play and are very gentile creatures. I really loved them. Daddy surprised me and bought me a jade necklace in the shape of a dolphin. I was shocked and very surprised! I love it.

We Are Proud Of Briggs

He loved this experience. The next day at The Theatre of the Sea he was lining up to kiss the Sea Lion. It helped him to be so brave! It was cute to witness.

Briggs Swam With Dolphins!

Our son Briggs has always loved sea creatures. Dolphins, sharks, octopuses, and whales. The Kids Wish Network was able to have his wish come true and made it possible for him to swim with dolphins while we were in Florida! It was wonderful. This is him getting ready for his big moment. Daddy got to swim with him so that he wouldn't be scared. He was nervous at first. Before he went in the water he kept saying, "I need to go to the bathroom!!" Over and over. We just took him so we knew he was squared away. After entering the water and petting the dolphin, Briggs started to enjoy it. Soon he was hugging, petting, signaling tricks and even KISSING the dolphin. It was great to watch!

Eating Out

We have never gone out to eat so much with our family. The kids were very good. It was a fun part of our trip. Quincey was excited because she has been asking us if she could try lobster for years now. Well, she finally got to order lobster and she loved it. (I hope she is satisfied for a while.) It was great!

Glass Bottom Boat

We took a cruise off of Key Largo on a glass bottom boat. It was so neat! They took us to a coral reef that is protected by the government. No one is even allowed to touch the bottom of the ocean there. We saw many kinds of fish and coral. We even saw a SHARK!
