School is here!

The kids have had a great first week of school. Piper was the most excited for it to start, but they have all done well in the transition. We have kids at three different schools. Piper and Boston are at Bluebonnet, Briggs is at Forrestwood Middle School and Quincey is at Shadow Ridge Middle School. All three good schools. (By the way, LOVE that pose Quinc!)

Summer Basketball

Boston played on a summer basketball league. They did great. Won some and lost some. They ended the tournament in third place. I love to watch Boston play. He is a good athlete and he is a great sport. He never shows his emotions. He is always calm and cool. He is a neat boy.

Cowgirl Piperdee

Piper has gotten good at riding Colonel all by herself. I am so proud of her. I am also proud of Colonel. He is truly the sweetest donkey in the world and we love him so much.

Ya............That's My Man.

I am so proud to be married to an amazing man. When growing up, my Mom used to say, "You need to marry a returned missionary and an Eagle Scout". Well, I looked for that and found it. Last week Taggart went even a step farther and was awarded his Wood badge Beads! It took a lot to get these. He went to wood badge last summer for a week. Taking off a week vacation from work and leaving the family. Then he had five ticket items that he needed to complete. A ticket item is a goal that makes him stretch to do something more to help the scouting program. They were hard goals and I am so proud of him for completing them. (Plus, I am relieved that they are over!) =D Great job Love!!!!! You are so cool!

Daddy's 37th birthday!

We had fun celebrating Daddy's birthday this year with a family birthday party. His birthday was on Sunday, so he was super busy the whole day. The night before I took him out on a date and we bought him some presents that I wanted him to pick out so he got just what he wanted. Then on his birthday I made an amazing dinner with apple crisp and ice cream (his favorite) instead of cake. It was a wonderful day and he had fun.

Quincey and her animals

Quincey loves to climb trees and pick leaves to feed to her adoring animals. It's cute how much she loves them and wants them to be happy. Quincey impresses me because she takes full responsibility for the animals. She heads out to the barn morning and night to feed them and care for them. I have never reminded her to do it. I think she's amazing.

Texas Sunsets at Cedar Creek Lake

These pictures pretty much sum up the feelings I had as I spent time with my sweet husband and beautiful children on this trip. The Lord has truly blessed us. We are grateful for the opportunity to do something like this as a family.

(Yes, I am totally crazy about the picture of the two of us kissing in the sunset!=) )

Our Old Boat!

The boat did great! The trip was a success. (It is an old boat, so ya never know! =) )

Daddy's Famous Breakfast!

Daddy cooked us breakfast outside one morning. Bacon, eggs and pancakes! What a treat it was.

Playing Volleyball

Quincey is Daddy had fun playing with the volleyball in the backyard.

Lounging at the house

We spent the evenings watching movies, the boys played video games, lots of eating, playing board games.

Cool Slide!

Boat House Jumping! Bonziiii!!!!

The kids couldn't get enough of jumping off the boat house. They loved to play and swim in the lake. Even Piper jumped off the highest level, but I didn't get a picture of it. =D

Canoeing

Briggs loved to go canoeing with Daddy. Taggart and I took the canoe out one evening and dusk and watched the sun go down. It was so much fun.
