15? It Can't Be

Quincey's balloons given to her from her Young Women's leaders.
 Getting ready for the party.
 The girls are arriving!

 Lovin Colonel.
 Treats for the animals.
All of the girls ADORED Sarger.  They crowded around him and took pictures with him.  It was quite amusing to watch.
Snapping pictures with their cell phones and hanging on his every word.  Most of these girls are only children or the youngest in their family.  They are not used to little kids.
More of Sarger being a star.
The party was a great success!  Quincey has really sweet friends.
My artistic cakes.  Chocolate, Red Velvet, Butter Pecan were the choices. MMMMM.......
 Making a wish.
 Cranking the girls.

Colonel gave them all rides, it was quite amusing to watch.
Sarger and the giant marshmallows we roasted.

Meet Pee Wee's Grandchildren

Our tiny rooster Pee Wee fathered two hens in our barnyard.  They are named Thing1 and Thing2.  They have started laying eggs and this is the size of their eggs.  They are so cute.
"Yes, I will have 5 eggs for breakfast today." =D

"Take My Picture Love"

Daddy's wheel barrow broke.  He has had it for 13 years.  He got it a month after we got our first house.  Who knows how many tons of dirt and rock he hauled in that thing.  Seriously, a lot. The handle broke, so with a little sadness and to honor the wheel barrow, he asked me to take his picture with it one last time before it went off to the wheel barrows in the sky.  We love you wheely.

Fall Orchestra Concert

My high school girl that I adore.
 Bravo! Bravo!
This concert was the first high school concert that we have been to for Quincey.  It was so exciting!  The funniest thing happened.  Let me start with a background.  In middle school Daddy and I would start a standing ovation every time.  (We also taught our kids to do the same.) =) We wanted the kids to get a standing ovation because we felt that they worked hard and would love it, so yes, we would shoot out of our seats and clap our wildly and then the whole audience would follow suit.  It was fun.  Well, this night, at the high school concert, I was busy video taping the concert and not paying attention.  As the last song ended for the freshman orchestra Daddy shot out of his seat clapping wildly.  I was taping away and looked over to see that he was giving them a standing "O", by the time I noticed , it seemed it was over, so I stayed in my seat.  He was all alone in his standing "O".  I cracked up because he was the only one.  Quincey said that he was the HERO backstage with her friends for doing it.  Then later in the concert we planned to give the ovation, which we did and the audience all followed suit.  It was so fun!  While eating refreshments, a senior girl from our ward, (also the Orchestra President) ran up to us was overjoyed because she had just received her FIRST standing ovation in the 4 years she has been in orchestra!!!!  Can you believe it!!!  These kids are now in for a real treat.  Things will never be the same at Flower Mound High School!  Standing O's for EVERYONE!!!!!  The Barron's are in town.

Texas Mums

Here in Texas, we have a thing called "MUMS".  This is very new and fascinating for me, an Arizona girl.  They started out as a corsage and through the years have grown into something larger then life.  Everything is bigger in Texas, right! =D  Turns out these mums cost $150 and it is all the rage to have one!  Well, it happened, Quincey came home from school telling me that she wanted a mum.  Mine and Daddy's reaction, was "No way".  We thought it was dumb.  She told us how we never give her anything and we are to cheap, etc, etc.  We stood our ground and that was that.  As the day went on, I thought about it and was given a great idea!  I would buy supplies and Quincey and I would make "mini mums" for her to give to all of her friends.  That way she was not thinking about herself and her amazing mum that cost $150, but she was giving mums out to everyone else and making people happy.  This is what we did!  The supplies were $35 and they turned out great.  We made 20 mums and they were a huge hit!!!  I'm glad Quincey liked it and it turned out fun.

These are 3 of Quincey's best friends with the TEXAS sized mums.

These are two of the Mini mums that we made.  I think they turned out cute.

"Look Mommy! I have a mouth guard!"

Watching Boston makes Sarger have football on the brain.
Hehehehehe.......!

Sarger-A man of MANY talents!

Sarger LOVES to make things out of paper.  Today he made a crown.

 My blue eyed King.
He made the whole family and colored them. (Even Colonel!)

We partied and we partied AGAIN!

Briggs turned 13!  We had a party with friends and I made cheesecake.  Briggs jumped the gun and blew out the candles the first second into the Birthday song! =)  It was so funny, so we lit them again and he got ANOTHER WISH!
 Briggs in ACTION!
Cake number two ON his birthday!  "Prince Briggs" (no other 13 year old boy would allow this on his cake, I am sure, but BRIGGS will, BESIDES, he IS a PRINCE!)
 Cashing in on more wishes!
We LOVE you Briggs!!! (Notice the necklace Piper made him. ) =)

My Gorgeous, Hard Working Husband

Proud to be an American!

Our Cub Scout Pack welcomed home the soldiers at DFW airport on Saturday morning and what a wonderful experience it was!  I was to touched to see the families greet their loved ones.  I was so grateful for the service these men and women have given to our country.  It was a neat morning.
