Daddy is Always Good For a Laugh

One thing I love about Daddy is that he does things because he knows that the girls will like it. He never "dissed" Little House one time, most guys would. He is happy to do things with us because he knows that we like it. He also lets us put a bonnet on him so that we could laugh our guts out and have a good time. Thanks Love, you are so much fun to be with. (By the way, the picture of him and Quincey is their rendition of Charles and Laura Ingalls.) =)

Little House on the Prairie

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to downtown Dallas and see the musical, "Little House on the Prairie". I love that show! The actress that played Laura on the show, Melissa Gilbert, played Ma in the play. It was a super fun night with Quincey. We went out to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner and then when we parked for the play, Daddy came around to get our doors and we slipped on our bonnets to surprise him. It was so funny. We sported our bonnets and felt cool. (I know everyone there was jealous.) ;D

Piper's Project

The first grade had to do a diagram of what they want to be when they grow up. Piper wants to be an artist and this is how her diagram turned out. I think it turned out great.

My Scripture Case

I couldn't find a scripture case that I liked at the bookstore, so I attempted to make one by looking at another one. This is how it turned out. I like it.

Mother's Day Treats

Daddy got me a corsage for church. It was so pretty, it had five yellow roses, one for each of our kids. He also got me a bouquet of spring flowers, a new set of scriptures, and a BYU hoodie (He told me to pick out the scriptures and hoodie when I was at BYU). I am excited about my new scriptures! =)

My Favorite Day

I LOVE Mother's Day. My family is so sweet to me. Just one day to be relieved of dishes or cooking is a treat. I love it. We have 8:30 church, so instead of breakfast in bed, I got lunch in bed after church. PERFECT! Thanks so much guys, it meant a lot. I also love the talks at church about Mother's and hearing the children sing. Great day.

Don't worry, this isn't a mug shot.

Piper and Boston both got the honor of being "Kids With Character" for their grade this month. (For us in the day, it was "Student of the month".) I am so proud of these kids and how well they do in school and how they conduct themselves. Good job guys!

"Anniversary Trip" By Paige Barron

I did this painting this week called "Anniversary Trip". I thought it would be fun to try and capture a coral reef and a couple snorkeling. It was a fun project. Hope you like it.

More Sarger

Yesterday we saw a little baby girl that is the little sister of Sarger's friend in preschool. (Get that?) As we walked by, Sarger said something like, "That is Ella's little sister." and I said, "Would you like a little sister?" Then he said, "No, little girls are much too hard to cheer up." (Have NO idea where that came from. =) )

Lovin

When Sarger came home from preschool today, he walked into the door and as I went to hug him he said, "No Mommy, can you just get me some food before we start the lovin?"

Fanny Pack

I have mentioned before that I love my fanny pack when I take trips. It's just so FREEING! Anyway, I bought a new fanny pack so that I might have a little variety. When Sarger saw it he said, "Mommy! Is this your NEW bottom pack?"

BYU Women's Conference............

Let it NOT be the last time!!!!

Quick Visits

The morning that we left, we had a few hours to make a few visits before heading to the airport. We drove in the snow up the canyon to see my in-laws, the Barron's. (I forgot to get a picture.=( ) Then we went to see Bethany's old house and knocked on the door to find the once 80 year old that lived there, now 95 year old woman answer the door! She was doing great and still living alone, taking care of herself. That was fun for Bethany.

WC Bags

I had fun making special bags for Bethany and I to sport around the conference. They came in handy.

Snow?

Yes, even though it did snow every day that we were there, we did have moments of enjoying the beautiful BYU campus.

We ROCKED Out AT THe Concert!

Thursday night they had a concert for all of the women. There were about 5 or six LDS performers that came to entertain. It was a great event.

Helamen Halls

We got to stay at Helamen Halls, which was really fun. We stayed up late talking with the girls a few doors down. (Do ya like my modeling pose?) =)

Julene Judd

Bethany and I were able to see Julene Judd's class at Women's Conference. She was our inspiration for going. We also got to see lots of AZ friends from the good 'ol days. It was so enriching to be there. Just a wonderful time. She did a great job and it was a full house.

BYU Campus

Los Hermanos

One of my favorite places for Daddy and I to eat at was Los Hermanos. Bethany spoiled me by going there two times in the few days that we were there. We also got to be served by Brooklyn! It was such a surprise to find out that she worked there. It loved seeing her. It has been a while and she looked great.

My Good Friend

I was able to see my good friend Alicia Ockey while were were at Women's Conference. Alicia's good friend and neighbor, Karen, is good friends with Bethany's good friend, Melinda and Karen and Melinda went to Women's' Conference together. Did you get all that? Anyway, I was lucky to get to see the Ockey's while I was there.
