Quincey and Mikkia ROCK it at the Roller Rink!
Notice the girls brought their ribbon twirlers to the skating rink. They were hilarious to watch cruising around, dancing to the music with their ribbons flowing behind them. These two had so much fun skating.
Piper Learns To Skate!
Quincey, Mikkia, Piper and I went roller skating on Presidents Day. My hope was to teach Piper to skate. They have these cool little "trainers" that they can hang onto and it helps them to learn in no time. I rented on for one hour and after about 45 minutes, she was no longer interested in using it. She was soon skating by herself around the rink and even dancing to the music. It was a super fun girls outing. I was proud of Piper and the rest of us had a blast too!
Our Valentine's Day
It was fun having Valentine's Day on Sunday this year. With 8:30 church, we waited until after church to celebrate. Quincey and Mikkia made place mats for everyone. Daddy bought me red roses, a card and chocolate. I bought treats for everyone with cards. I bought Daddy this really cool head scratcher and we all had fun with that. It was a wonderful day together.
Mikkia and Quincey=Fun!!!!!!
We are so lucky to have Mikkia come to visit us from Utah. She is such a special friend for Quincey. These two girls are kindred spirits. They are 14 years old and still love to dance and play and pretend together. The other kids just watch them in awe and are so entertained. I love so many things about Mikkia. She is compassionate, very helpful and will share anything. She has a strong testimony of the gospel. I hope that Quincey can be friends with her for a lifetime. In these pictures, the girls had taped ribbons to popsicle sticks and were taking turns dancing to classical music. =) ( By the way, they named their ribbons "Mary Alice and Colleen".)
Sweet Surprise!
Quincey went to let out the animals on Saturday morning and came upon a little sweet surprise. A new baby goat was born during the night and it was totally unexpected! We usually anticipate the birth of a goats for weeks, sometimes months. But not this one. With Lillian only having one baby, she was small and we had no idea. We named the baby Mickey and kept the Mommy and Baby in the garage for a week. He is healthy and strong and a beautiful goat! It is fun to have him after loosing the two twins a few weeks ago.
The Kids Playing in the Snow.
I love how it is a special occasion when it snows in Dallas. The kids were in and out of the house flinging wet socks and gloves and wet shoes and coats everywhere. They had a wonderful time with it, but for me, bundling up kids over and over again made my secretly glad it is rare around here. I love it a couple times a year. Perfect!

Boston, I am so proud of you.
Boston went to bed sick last night and woke up sick this morning. I let him decide if he needed to stay home from school and the answer was yes. The weather is crazy cold today and I thought that it was good that he stayed home. Later in the day Sarger developed a fever with an ear ache and then Daddy came home from work with a fever. Daddy told me how he wanted to sleep for a while because Sister Hipwell (A single mother in our ward) is going to be moving tonight and he really wanted to be there to help her. He is her Home Teacher. I offered to find a backup to take his place and call her to let her know that he was sick because he really looked awful. He insisted on going. I understood because he is her Home Teacher. Anyway, Boston was so cute. He saw how bad Daddy looked and felt bad that he was going to help her move on this cold night. Boston, being sick himself, offered to go with his Daddy and help too. I could have said no, but I really felt that this was a good experience for him to help someone and to be there for his Daddy who needed help. It is past 9 at night and they are both still gone, working to help Sister Hipwell. Boston will be a great man some day. I am so very proud of him. I love you buddy, you are amazing. You are like your Daddy, which is the highest complement I can give.

"Blessing Her Babies" By Paige Barron
Being your mother is the most rewarding thing that has ever happened to me. There is nothing else like it in the world. I have never wanted anything more then to have a husband and to be a mother. With all of the work and stress of family life, it can be hard, but it is also brought me untold joy. I would do anything for you children that have been entrusted to me. Daddy and I have dedicated our lives to raising you and bringing you the gospel of Jesus Christ and a home filled with love and filled with the spirit. I love you Quincey. I love you Briggs. I love you Boston. I love you Piper and I love you Sarger. Mommy will work forever on helping you to be the very best YOU. Your forever Mommy, Paige.

Paper Airplanes
Sarger LOVES making paper airplanes. He makes them every day and makes many many of them. One of my many chores is to (sneak) paper airplanes into the garbage when he is not looking. He likes to design new ones too. He makes them small, he makes them big by glueing several planes together, cuts out pieces of them to see if they will fly better that way. He talks about the big plane race that our family will have someday and which plane he will be using for it. For a 3/4 year old, this kid can make an amazing airplane. Truly.
