In the spring Daddy brought home five adorable baby ducklings. We thought that it would be fun to have ducks in our pond that we could feed and watch swim around. The kids got a great idea. "Let's TRAIN the ducks to swim!" They would chase them down and plop them into the pool while they were swimming. The ducks would scream and jump out of the pool ASAP and the kids would laugh and do it again. After a few days of this, all of the sudden the ducks thought it was kinda cool to swim. Soon they decided that the pool WAS for them. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Now we can not get the ducks to leave the pool. Yes, you are right, they are messy animals. Pretty much a mother's nightmare. Today Daddy decided that instead of "getting rid of them" he is going to try to keep them out of the pool with chicken wire. Let's hope the things don't fly. Update to come...
