Quincey Learns to Sew

I love teaching the kids new things. They are always so nervous at first, and doubting that they can do it (well, the girls do anyway) but as they start to "get" it, you can see the light go on and their confidence grows. This is what happened the day that Quincey learned to sew on my sewing machine. The kids had the day off of school for MLK holiday. For a fun project, Quincey wanted to make a quilt. She put together all of these materials, and began to sew it together. She soon became a pro and we finished this quilt in one day. It was so much fun. We also made rice bags that you heat in the microwave to warm you up. It has been fun to have those and stay warm in these cold weeks. Good times with Mother and Daughter. =)
