Temple Grandin!
Boston's big LEAP project this year was a research paper on Temple Grandin. She is probably the most famous person with Autism in the world. She has written many books, she has a doctorate degree, is an inventor and teaches at university in Colorado. It was so neat to study and learn about her. Boston was inspired by the life that she has led and the obstacles that she has overcome. Boston made a power point about her, a research paper, and for his big project, we thought it would be neat to try and contact her. I found her contact information on the internet. We called and talked to her secretary and wrote her an email as well. Soon she was calling our house and talking to Boston on the phone. He was able to interview her on the phone and ask her any questions that he had about her life. He also corresponded through email and found out her favorite snack to share with the kids after the presentation. It turned out so good and I was very proud of the job that he did.
