Our 2008 Family Spring Break Vacation this year was quite a BLAST!! We did so many fun things, so get ready! We focused on getting to know the state of Louisiana on our way to our final destination, Destin, Florida. The first stop was at a plantation called the Cane River Creole Plantation. The family was able to get out of the car and run from building to building learning about how things worked on a plantation. This one grew sugar cane and notice the big syrup pots that they made the syrup with. They also had some slave quarters with were very interesting. The oak trees were 150 years old and amazing. It was a fun stop.
