I was looking for an idea for Family Night the might stick in the kids mind as a memory forever. As I thought about it, an idea came to me. We had a lesson about the importance of the temple. We opened with a few songs and then a prayer. Then Daddy and I told everyone that we would be right back and went to our room and put on our white temple cloths. Our children have never seen these cloths because they are never at the temple with us. We walked out of the room holding hands, dressed in white. We got the reaction that we were looking for. They all looked at us with wide eyes. We then gave the lesson on the temple and the children were very interested. Toward the end of the lesson Piper slipped away and said she would be right back. Soon she returned with a white dress of her own on and a big bright smile on her face. It made me so happy. It turned out to be a wonderful family night and one to remember. The spirit will direct you if you plan ahead and ask for help.
