When I was planning our trip, I really wanted to see Mount Vernon. This is George Washington's house that he owned while he was President of the United States. It is about one hour away from Washington DC and I could not find the time in our schedule to go and do it. Well, I mentioned it to my husband and he decided that if we left early in the morning, we could find time to go there. He was up at 5am driving and that made the difference to make it to Mount Vernon. It was wonderful. Tag was so sweet, he woke up early every day to drive for a few hours while everyone was still asleep. It was heaven. Then we would be able to enjoy the sights a lot longer.
