Oak Mountain State Park, Birmingham Alabama

Our last night camping in Birmingham, Alabama went smoothly. The kids all slept well the whole week. (Kinda surprised me, with us all in the same room pretty much.) The next day we made a B-line to Dallas, Texas. The trip was amazing. We came away from this trip feeling closer to each other. I will forever remember this special week and the fun things we did together. A few of things that added to the fun was a couple of games that I forgot to mention. We played a license plate game. The kids would look at all of the licence plates and mark them off of the map that I taped to the wall. We found all but ten (I think) of the states. We even found Hawaii and Alaska! I also made up a scavenger hunt. When the kids found a certain number of items, they got to open up a surprise (usually candy, some little games). These two games were a big hit. They spent a lot of time looking out the windows and that is what we hoped. It's fun to be a family and to be able to spend time together. (The pictures of Quincey and Boston are when they were bouncing on the bed in the back while Daddy was driving down a bouncy road. Then it turned into a wrestling match.)
